Bikram Singh Majithia reveales that he did not run for the Majitha Assembly seat, but rather for Amritsar East

Bikram Singh Majithia, a member of the SAD, revealed Tuesday that he did not run for the Majitha Assembly seat, but rather for Amritsar East, where he faced Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu. His wife, Ganieve Kaur, will also resign from the Majithia Assembly section on his behalf, according to the former minister. On Monday, Ganieve received a nomination document from Majitha’s office. Amritsar East’s Shimani Akali Dal Majithia used it against Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu just a few days earlier. He had already been nominated and submitted nomination paperwork from the Majitha assembly section. After SAD nominated him as a contender for a seat in the Amritsar Eastern Parliament, Majithia told the Amritsar media that if he wins from both seats, he will take either. He claimed he approached him and asked if he would represent him. He said that the question prompted him to embrace the request to fight from only one seat and to refuse to flee the Majithia rally part. He declares that his wife, Ganieve Kaul, will run from Magisa after receiving permission and blessings from people in the Majithia Parliament region. Majithia stated, “I will compete from the seat in the east of Amritsar.” Since 2007, Majithia has represented the Majitha assembly segment.Majithia, a three-time MLA, initiated action against Navjot Sidhu for neglecting to carry out development work on eastern Amritsar residents.
