Karnataka:Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in at least two places.


It has been raining continuously in various parts of Karnataka for the last few days.Accordingly, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a Red Alert for some districts including Udupi and Uttar Kannada and an orange alert for Hassan and Kodagu districts.

Meanwhile, schools in many parts of Karnataka have been closed due to continuous rains.According to the Union Ministry of Water Resources, 45,000 cubic feet of water is expected to reach the Mettur dam as additional water has been released from dams in Karnataka.

As a result, flood warnings have been issued for various delta districts including the coastal districts of Cauvery, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri.
